Youth Group (STAY) - Mrs. Naomi Whittaker - 01789 296631

The Youth Group restarted when four of our young people were Confirmed in November 2002, and it was felt that as a church we were not meeting the needs of the 11 to 16 age group;  we wanted to keep their interest and welcome new youngsters.

The challenge is to encourage these people to come to church occasionally and to make them feel welcome and engaged in worship.  It was good to see four people from youth group leading the prayers at the Christingle Service.

I now have a mailing list of around 45 people.  Not everyone comes every session, so we are seeing around 25-30 young people each evening   Due to the increased numbers, from September STAY Club will be open to year 7 upwards rather than year 6 (i.e. just secondary school people)
