Gospel Choir

Our gospel choir is open to new members! We welcome anybody who wants to                      sing, and you will only be required to audition if it's for a solo. There is no need to be able to read music, as we teach by ear. The aim is for everybody to have a good time, and gain confidence through enjoying the music, and being part of a team. We shall rehearse for specific events throughout the year.

On Sunday July 9th July 2017 at the 10am service, we shall be celebrating RSCM Music Sunday.

The Choir will be performing some lovely choral pieces, including Stanford's ' Ye choirs of new Jerusalem' and 'The Ground' by Ola Gjeillo, which, if you missed on Good Friday is well worth coming to hear.

The Junior Choir will be taking an active part, and we will be using the talents of our instrumental players.   There will be a presentation in the sermon slot about St Andrew's Choir in the past.

Much planning,  preparation and rehearsal time goes into the special services that we organise at St Andrew's, so please come along and enjoy this occasion with us, and bring others with you!

The charity giving on this Sunday will go to support the  valu-able work done by the RSCM in supplying and encouraging  music in churches at home and abroad.    (see pages 28/29 of Searchlight)
